Our Little Daycare

They call me Nessa

I have been a daycare provider for 14 years, ever since my oldest child was 4!  I love children and helping them develop into the best they can be.  I am a former homeschool mom and currently still homeschool the pre-schoolers. I have enjoyed being part of many families over the years and continue to stay in touch with several of the children that have grown too old for my care.  My name is Vanessa, but all the little ones call me Nessa.

The Mural

The mural is a work in progress.  I have pretty much finished the first wall and hope to move on to another one soon.  It was a fun project but VERY time consuming ( and time is in short supply!)

The Great Outdoors!

The kids LOVE to be outside, and they are given ample opportunities to run off their energy.  When the weather is a bit chilly yet dry, we will venture out for two "recess" times. These will usually last anywhere from 15-30 minutes each, depending on the temperature.  On warm days, we may stay outside most of the day, conducting our "circle time" and "messy play" times outside.  We will have picnic lunches and run through the sprinklers.  Oh how we look forward to the summer!  We have a large deck with a playhouse, small play structure, ride-ons and a sand table.  There is a large grassy area to run and play on, as well as a swing set/ climbing structure.  In addition, we have a large fenced garden, where the children help plant and cultivate summer veggies and strawberries.  The children love to dig!
